New to Cyprus

Privacy policy

Last updated: 16 June 2026

This explains what personal data we collect, why, how we protect it, and the rights you have. Operating-entity and data-processing specifics shown in [brackets] are being finalised.

Who we are

New to Cyprus (newtocyprus.com) is operated by [LEGAL OPERATING ENTITY], registered at [REGISTERED ADDRESS], part of the disclosed DigiCare Insurance family. For the purposes of EU/Cyprus data-protection law, that entity is the data controller for personal data processed through this website. You can reach us through our contact page.

What we collect

  • Contact data you send us (name, email, your message).
  • Account & service data if you use our permit document check: the account you create and the answers and documents you upload for that check.
  • Usage data: basic, privacy-respecting analytics about how pages are used, so we can improve them.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

  • To answer your questions and provide support — our legitimate interest and, where you ask for a service, to perform our contract with you.
  • To run the permit document check you request — to perform our contract with you.
  • To meet legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.
  • To improve our guides and tools — our legitimate interest, balanced against your rights.

Your documents and automated checks

When you use the permit document check, your documents are processed to check them against current Cyprus requirements. Documents are stored encrypted and held within the EU. You can download your pack and ask us to delete the originals after your filing. The detail of our processors and data-processing arrangements for the service is set out in [DATA PROCESSING DETAILS]. We only use your data to run your request; we do not sell it.

Who we share it with

  • Koufettas Law, where you choose a lawyer-reviewed service tier, so a licensed advocate can review your application.
  • Service providers who help us operate (hosting, payment processing, email) under data-processing agreements and only as needed.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it. We never share your data with competitor brokers, law firms or property portals.

Your rights

Under EU/Cyprus data-protection law you can request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, and you can object to certain processing. Contact us and we will respond within the legal timeframe. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus.

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected or as the law requires, then delete or anonymise it. Documents uploaded for a permit check are purged after your filing on request.

Cookies & analytics

We use only the cookies needed to run the site and privacy-respecting analytics to understand usage. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

Changes

We may update this policy as our services grow. We will change the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, tell you.

This privacy policy is general information about our data practices, not legal advice.
